Terms of Sale

These Terms of Sale apply to reservation deposit payments made by restaurant guests ("Guest", "you") through the DinerOps platform on behalf of participating restaurants ("Restaurant"). DinerOps acts as a technical service provider facilitating the payment; the Restaurant is the seller and contracting party for the reservation and any associated services.

By making a deposit payment you agree to these Terms of Sale. Please read them carefully before completing your payment.

The Restaurant is identified on the booking page where you make the reservation. The Restaurant is solely responsible for the dining experience and services provided.

Through DinerOps, Restaurants may require a deposit payment to confirm a table reservation. The deposit secures the reservation and is typically deducted from the final bill at the Restaurant, or refunded according to the cancellation policy described below.

The deposit amount is displayed clearly before payment and is set by the Restaurant. DinerOps does not determine deposit amounts.

All deposit amounts are shown in euros (EUR) and include VAT where applicable.

Accepted payment methods include MobilePay, credit/debit cards and other methods as displayed at checkout. Payment is processed at the time of booking confirmation.

You will receive a confirmation by email or SMS once the payment is successfully processed. The confirmation serves as your receipt.

Under EU consumer protection law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation and catering services with a specific date or period of performance (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(l)). Restaurant reservations fall under this exception.

However, Restaurants using DinerOps typically offer their own cancellation policies. The applicable cancellation terms are displayed on the booking page before you confirm the reservation. Common terms include:

Refunds are processed according to the Restaurant's cancellation policy as displayed at the time of booking.

If you are entitled to a refund, it will be returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. The exact timing depends on your payment provider.

If the Restaurant cancels the reservation, you are entitled to a full refund of the deposit. DinerOps will process this automatically.

Partial refunds may apply if the Restaurant's policy provides for them (e.g. reduced party size).

If you have a complaint regarding the payment or deposit process, please contact us at support@dinerops.com. We aim to respond within 3 business days.

For complaints regarding the dining experience, service quality or the reservation itself, please contact the Restaurant directly. Contact details are included in your booking confirmation.

If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, you may refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board of Finland (Kuluttajariitalautakunta, www.kuluttajariita.fi) or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Since the deposit secures a reservation (a service), there is no physical delivery. Confirmation of your reservation and deposit payment is delivered electronically via email or SMS immediately after payment.

Personal data collected during the payment process is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at /privacy. Payment data is processed securely by our payment service provider and is not stored by DinerOps.

These Terms of Sale are governed by the laws of Finland. Mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply where they provide a higher level of protection.
